NIGHTSHADE [glow=red,2,300][/glow] Nightshade licked hispelt clean, he didn't wan't anything to show his sleepless night, especially because of the important ceremony involving him. [glow=red,2,300][/glow]STARSTORM Starstorm was tired as well. She had eavesdropped on Nightshade and Windstar the night before. "He's so lucky," she thought, "and eventually he'll become Nightstar!" In a bored manner, Mapleclaw lumbered out of the warriors' den and pulled out a rabbit from the freshkill pile for himself. Nightshade seemed pretty excited for something, then Mapleclaw remembered, Right, Morningeyes is dead. We need a new deputy. He will be a good choice. The brown tom smiled at his Clanmate, trying to forget Morningeyes' bloody death. Things must change for other things to become better.

Nightshade saw Mapleclaw assesing him and grinned. He didn't really like the white and brown tom but to know someone was happy for him he tried to throw that out the window, now that he was a cat of athourity or soon to be, instead of being bossed, he would do the bossing.

Flickerpaw happily bounced out of the Apprentices' Den and cheerfully took a mouse for herself, before chowing down heartily. The ginger apprentice licked her lips happily, and glanced around the camp. There was Maplelclaw and Nightshade. Who will be the next deputy of WindClan? the she-cat apprentice thought curiously, Morningeyes' death was past her.
Lambspring grudgingly woke up into the bright morning light, and dragged herself out of the warriors' den sleepily. The white she-cat picked out a mouse for herself, but didn't eat it enthusiastically. Instead, she sniffed at it a little, and tore off a strip of fur thoughtfully. The white she-cat followed her best friend Flickerpaw's gaze, and caught onto Nightshade. Right, Morningeyes' death. Windstar will be choosing the new deputy soon.

Eclipsekit saw all the cats staring at something from his nest in the nursery and creeped outside to see what it was. The cats were staring at Nightshade! " he's gonna be the new deputy,' he mumbled " and take my mom's place." Eclipsekit's eyes started watering nad he wailed loudly and yowled loudly, " it isn't fair!! Why does it have to be a tom cat!!' and he ran out of camp towards the path heading to the moonstone.

Starstorm watched the kits outburst and ran after him, her long legs giving her an advantage as she caught up to him and grabbed him by the scruff. " Don't leave the camp, and stay in the nursery!" she mewed, but because she had eclipsekit by the scruff it sounded like "dot leve ta amp,nd tay tin ta nurtery!"

Mapleclaw frowned at the sudden scene that had just erupted from the Nursery. Of course the kit would be upset after his mother's death - it had only been last night. Small stabs of pity pierced through the tom's heart as he realized Eclipsekit's eyes began to water. Beautiful, youthful eyes don't deserve to weep over such a natural thing. he thought privately to himself, his tail waving about unconsciously. My mother died when i was a young age too. I wonder where my littermates are now...
The brown and white tom picked himself up, roughly shook some dust off from his pelt. and followed Starstorm into the nursery. "Hey, kiddo," the tom started sympathetically, "Wanna talk about this? My mother died when I was young too, and I got separated from my littermates soon after..."

Eclipsekit looked at Mapleclaw and saw nothing in his eyes but sympathy. He disliked any tom cat no matter who they were, so there was no way he would talk to Mapleclaw about it.....but he MIGHT talk to Starstorm about it. But he just looked at mapleclaw and growled, "Why didn't he focus on the more IMPORTANT matter?' he thought bitterly, this was ALL about the new deputy. "

NIGHTSHADE:
Nightshade was beginning to grow impatient,he couldn't have cared less about the scene that had just occured,all that mattered was that Starstorm was okay."Where is Windstar?' he gowled under his breath quiet enough that no one could hear,"He should be ready by now!" then there was a sound coming from the leader's den and Nightshade turned towards it instictively.

((Sorry, my PC was ruined, I had to get a new one.))
Windstar leaped up the High-Stump((lol)). She had been laying in her den, a thick bed of ferns around the Stump. She looked around. Most of the Clan was gathered. Her quick eyes pierced Nightshade, who would be the new deputy. She had thought the brave warrior would be a good choice. Summoning her strength, she called out to the rest of the absent warriors. ''Every cat old enough to catch their own prey gather under the High-Stump for a Clan meeting!''
Windstar waited for a few moments before continuing. Tears flowed into her eyes as she started to speak:
''I say these words before Morningeyes's soul, so that his spirit may hear and approve.''
Windstar's voice cracked. She was very sad about Morningeyes's death. Grief flooded over her. She lowered her head in respect for StarClan and the old deputy.
Lifting her head suddenly, Windstar continued. ''The new deputy will be Nightshade!'' Windstar scrambled off the Stump and into her nest of ferns and moss.

Flickerpaw instantly screamed out loud with a huge grin on her face, "Nightshade! Nightshade! Congratulations!" Her ginger fur puffed out, not because she was cold, because she was so proud. Proud of WindClan and Nightshade.
"Congratulations," said Lampspring weakly, who was still in deep memory of the past WindClan deputy, Morningeyes. She saw the teardrops on Windstar's face, and something inside her broke. A tear slipped out a corner of one of her grassy green eyes.

Nightshade stood tall and proud, oblivious to all the sadness and tears. But somehow he felt sad for Morningeyes, she had been a good deputy, though Nightshade hated her because she was athourity.He grinned.
