Your Username: Raccoonfur
Character's name: Raccoonfur
Clan: ShadowClan
Occupation: Warrior
Appearance: Raccoonfur is a Black and Red Tortoiseshell. A she-cat with a mixture of red fur and deep brown, and these two colours twist somewhat around her long tail. The darker brown is the more dominant colour over her face and back and makes her hard to distinguish when she is cloaked in shadows. The odd bright red patches on her fur give her away though and this is what gave her the name “Raccoonfur”.
This female’s nose is fairly dark, if not black, as well as her lips, and her muzzle is quite smooth and neat in terms of appearance. In all, she is a beautiful ShadowClan cat. She holds smooth amber-yellow irises. Her build is quite a medium sized cat, fairly muscular under her short (but still somewhat thick) fur. She has long brown-white whiskers (as seen in the picture, though the description may be a bit different) and small tufts of fur that peer over her ears. One paw – her left forepaw – is tipped with her lighter colouring and her left side shows more of her red fur than her brown. Her fur is longer around her back and mixes around the two colours.
Her tail tip is brown and her eyes are quite wide and naturally look somewhat aggressive when her pupils become small. Despite appearing weak, she is quite a strong cat and is built primarily for hunting.
Personality: Raccoonfur is a kind she-cat to those in her Clan and she wants nothing more than to help out when she can. Sweet-hearted in nature, she treats everybody like her kit, which often means that she will scold a cat if they do something wrong. Comforting a cat when they are upset is what she does best, and she doesn’t mind the odd cuddle when things start to get bad. She has never had kits of her own, though she hopes to have some soon, and she loves the weather as it shows beauty and power at the same time. In a sense, you could say that she wishes she was a hurling rainstorm, because that’s what she can turn into when she gets angry. However, displaying anger is rare, and is mainly released on cats who try to hurt her Clan.
She is happy-go-lucky and she will join in with games when Kits or Apprentices get going. Even though she likes a bit of peace and quiet, she does have a lot of ambition, and she does often suggest that they take a bit of territory from the other Clans. This she-cat will disobey any order to help a kit, even if it is from another Clan, which is a bad thing when she is on a patrol, since her heart – though pure – may be a bit too open. She isn’t too afraid of many things, but as soon as she senses a Badger, she will become terrified. This was because of an incident as a kit when she snuck out with the others to explore the territory, and she ended up being found and almost killed by a badger. This fear, as well as the fear of water, has kept her on her toes when she leaves the camp.
She isn’t full of herself, even though she may come out to be, and she finds that joking around is an important part of being a Warrior. Well, Warriors need to relieve their emotions somehow, right? For a ShadowClan cat, she does come across as somewhat polite, because she tries not to use the insults that others use. She likes to keep her integrity intact, which means on those rare occasions that she does say something bad; she’ll feel incredibly rotten about it for a long time.
Strengths: Good hunter and climber, effective cat to turn to when you need help and a fairly ambitious cat for her Clan. Even if she’s near death, she will push herself and try her best to stand up and fight for what she believes in.
Weaknesses: Her nature may be too motherly, she can’t refuse a kit and she doesn’t like to fight. This isn’t just because she isn’t too good at it, but also because she doesn’t like to hurt other cats unless she absolutely has to. She doesn’t like being treated by a Medicine Cat when she does get injured because she feels that herbs shouldn’t be wasted on a cat such as her. She will always make sure that the other cats are helped first.
Past: Raccoonfur was born into ShadowClan by her parents Wasp (father) and Snow (mother). She had a relatively good uprising; her parents loved her and gave her all the attention she wanted, their bond was very strong. Her ambition and protective personality was influenced by her father, Wasp, and her kit-loving side from Snow. The two were both cats who lived around ShadowClan as it bloomed to life, but as soon as Raccoon was made an Apprentice, Raccoonpaw, they both went out on a walk. Their relationship had been failing; Snow thought that Wasp was being unfaithful to her with another she-cat and Wasp thought that she didn’t trust him anymore.
They sorted this problem out, but on the walk they were attacked by a badger. Obviously two cats aren’t strong enough to fend off massive, prey-starved badger, and they were both killed. When they hadn’t returned for dawn patrol, Raccoonpaw and her mentor had been sent out to find them. Obviously they were found and they were taken back to camp, but Raccoonpaw had never been so upset in her life. Even three moons wasn’t enough time, training couldn’t distract her and she felt somewhat guilty for their deaths, even though she hadn’t done anything too obvious to cause that.
Eventually after a few moons of bonding with her Clan mates, she recovered from the initial shock of her only family’s death, but it wasn’t until the wise words of one cat that she realised just how naive she had been.
“You still have a family; ShadowClan. Don’t forget that, Raccoonpaw.”
From that point on, Raccoonpaw had begun to push herself to do her best, and from that newfound enthusiasm, she was rewarded with her Warrior name: Raccoonfur. Truthfully she wished inside that she had been called “Raccoonwasp” or “Raccoonsnow”, but she liked her name and it had been given to her by a cat she liked very much. Besides, after a while of thinking about it, neither of those names made much sense!
During her grief, she found the strange habit of stacking stones on top of each other and then knocking them down. She liked this so much that she made her own stone-pile beside her den and often wakes up just to stack some rocks. Her first Warrior moon was great because of the support she was given.
Other: The strange rock-stacking habit isn’t a talent or a flaw; it’s just a hobby.
