Reason for a non-traditional name: I don't think it's non traditional. It's a personality/history trait for the prefix, and then the Fox suffix is attributed to his coat (:
Clan: Shadowclan <3
Occupation: Warrior
Appearance: Jadedfox is a very broad shouldered Dark ginger tom. His fur is a very vivid orange color, much like that of a Fox. His Coat is a marbled tabby pattern, with multiple swirls of darker orange colors. His ears are very small, and pointed and look almost out of place against his strong shoulders but are quickly accented by a Narrow face. The bright orange Fox color continues throughout his body, until the tip of his muzzle where the orange is broken by stark white whiskers, and a bright pink nose. His eyes are a very light yellow-orange color, with very black pupil.
Personality: Jadedfox is a very interesting tom cat. His personality has many quicks and contradictions. This tom certainly has his secrets, and certainly has mastered a "public face". Deep down, Jadedfox is an incredibly insecure tom cat. His emotions squirm with anxieties over screwing up and looking like a kit for the rest of his life. He doesn't want to be treated inferior, so this has made him a master at researching his topics and knowing what's happening at all times. In fact, it is rare that this tom will open his mouth and not know both sides of the story to whatever he's forming an opinion on. As he's aged, he's let some of his pride and ego go. Where as, six moons ago he would have never admitted he was wrong, or that he didn't know something when asked a question or posed with a challenge. Slowly but surely he's learning the gift of humility.
Often times, Jadedfox confuses many around him. Mistaken very often as unfriendly, it took awhile before he was comfortable around others out of fear that he was being judged by his peers. Of course, the only judging that was being done was that of mistaking him for not being friendly, but Jadedfox has always assumed cats think the worst of him, so he desperately strives to be better each and every minute he breathes.
Strangly enough, when put in charge, Jadedfox is all show. He's a workaholic, especially if he's leading. Yes, he does have a very hard time comfortably following, but isn't outspoken enough to object most of the time. But when in charge, you'll see an entirely different cat. Where as most that are insecure, would shatter in the spotlight, Jadedfox takes it as an oppurtunity to prove everyone wrong.
Because of how harshly he judges himself, he can be mistaked as a goody goody, but deep down, this tom is longing to rebel and be outspoken. It takes him a very long time to trust others, even his own clanmates that he's grown alongside, Jadedfox has a nearly impossible time being himself around.
Beyond the stoic, insecure, falsely confident Public Face Jadedfox has, he really is a sweetheart. He pretends to not like kits in the least, but secretly keeps an eye on their where abouts all the time. He's a protective tom cat, but certainly does not make it known, and it is through this quiet observant state, he has learned to thrive.
Past: Jadedfox was born only a few moons before the clans formed. His family "clan" was very close, with the eldest cat being his grandfather named Jade. Jade was somewhat of the "leader" of their family unit and was a great inspiration. Jade's son- Crow, was rather quiet and stoic, much like Jadedfox is now. Jadedfox's mother was a bright and bubbly she-cat, who was always dreaming of bigger and better things. She had a fiery spirit in her that was almost uncontrollable, and she very often only respected the word of Jade to keep her under control. Jadedfox was the only kit to survive within 3 days of birth, much to everyone's surprise. He was a dramatic breech kit, who Jade insisted wasn't going to make it. When the other two kits died, the nameless survivor was named Jaded. Both as a tribute to the elder of their family as well as a dark pun on how sluggish and half dead the kit was within a few days of entering the world.
When news of clans forming spread, Jadedfox's mother took off in an attempt to find them. She found Shadowclan when Jaded was just a few weeks old, and joined. Being to young to really have any say in what was going on "Jaded" became Jadedkit- and has been in Shadowclan ever since. He's a very new Warrior, but because of the harsh standards he holds himself too, Jadedfox is excruciatingly mature for his young status.
