Eat, play, and run when provoked had once been Morningeyes' daily ritual. But now, in the omfort of knowing she belong to a family, patrols and sessions were added to her scedule. Still in her head were spearking fireworks and shimmering squibs, although they had not be cleaned away during dire situations, revealing the dull gleam of political thinking and good sense. WindClan was victimed to late leaf-fall's windchills. The young warrior's short coat was fluffed up against the wind. She knew another harsh winter was coming, but it just seemed too far away to be considered. Not after this year's lovely greanleaf. The threatening of VenomClan's doubtful honesty seemed distint (sp?) as well. As of the current time, the liquid black she-cat was idle. Staring at the last season's dandelion, on a slop just below WindClan's gorse-lined camp.

(Is it okay if Windstar has a small crush on Morningeyes, it won't really matter because he's going to die anyways. Oh, and by the way, it's spelled 'distant'.)
The WindClan leader gently glided along the dying grass, his breath turning to mist in the cold air. He needed someone to talk to, sitting in his den for eternity and waiting for an invasion from VenomClan had gotten boring for Windstar. As he neared the small black she-cat a small smile grew onto his face. "Hello there," Windstar purred, "Having fun staring at that uh... flower?" he yawned, sitting down beside Morningeyes.

(Okay, thanks. And yep, Morning is going to die in the plot too anyway.) "Oh- " Morningeyes had woke from her drifting daydream. She watched as Windstar dropped himself beside her, and she straightened her back in respect. The inky she-cat returned his vague smile with a brighter, yet gentle one. "Yes...a flower. The last one." The rain from last night had frozen on the grass, leaving strange opaque droplets. There was a question, like a tiny fruitfly who refused to leave no matter how many times swatted at, that she contantly wondered. "What will we do... when VenomClan comes? They haven't been respecting the warrior code or even the life of a warrior. I'm sure that some of their members have even still kept their kittypet names!"

"Hi Morningeyes and Windstar!" said Flickerpaw cheerily. "I'm so glad I found you two! I've been dying to talk! You see, I saw this rabbit but it wasn't really a rabbit, it was a funny bird with black and brown markings! I woke up so early this morning I thought my funny little brain was playing tricks! Like the bird was pretending to be a rabbit! And then-"
Lambspring came from behind Flickerpaw and groaned. Even though the ginger apprentice was her best friend, "You talk, so much!"

Morningeyes purred softly. "Flickerpaw may say anything she wants, as long as it's nice and lovely like the fluff off a dandelion head or a heavy hive free from bumblebees." The black she-cat said matter-of-factly, with a pleasant smile.

Lambspring groaned at both Morningeyes' soft rebuke and Flickerpaw continuing on, "Thank you, Morningeyes! Lambspring can be very rude! Really rude! Super duper rude! In fact, this other time I was talking to this cat who roamed across our territory and Lambspring chased the poor cat out! She called him a sneak for stealing onto our territory! But you know me, I'll always share anything, even prey-"

" Hello Windstar, everone. Have any of you seen some poppies around? I need some poppy seeds." Starstorm purred. Her eyes twinkled from happiness, and her mew was tired yet full of life.
