Sunlight filtered into the apprentices' den in thin streams illuminating the dim area, falling on fur both kitten-soft and others becoming thicker and bristly with maturity. Bodies began to stir as the light lifted them gently out of their dreams and into the world of the waking where a day of hard work and training awaited them. Mintpaw yawned and squeezed his eyes shut, trying to grasp the last tendrils of his dream as they ebbed away out of his consciousness. When at last it had faded out of any memory, the young apprentice blinked his eyes open, rubbing sleep out of them with his paws, and looked around the den. He saw several cats still drifting in and out of sleep and a few up and yawning as he was. Carefully, Mintpaw extracted himself from his moss nest and stepped around his denmates, heading for the exit where the sunlight was beckoning him, tempting him to come out and stretch in its warm glow. Pushing his way through the lichen covering the den, Mintpaw breathed a deep breath of morning air and one by one stretched out his limbs, kneading the ground before him with his claws as he did so. Excitement prickled through him as the day ahead promised wonders. Looking around, Mintpaw spotted a few cats already picking through the fresh-kill pile, amongst them were cats he knew as his friends. With sleep dragging at his paws, the apprentice walked across camp toward the delicious allure of the meat-scent. One of the cats already there pricked there ears as they saw him approaching and let out a friendly purr. "Morning Mintpaw!" The cat called, tossing him a water-vole. "Better eat now, I hear you're going to be on hunting patrols for the rest of the day."

Ottersplash was presently sitting beside the heap of freshkill, helping himself to a trout that was caught during the night before. The pale golden rays of the sun were weak but inviting, and a soft breeze ruffled the mottled tom's fur comfortingly. The RiverClan tom took another small bite of his breakfast, chewing carefully before swallowing. He did this so he could get the most juices out from his tasty food. His dark blue eyes, the colour of a friendly summer's sky, blinked as he watched the young apprentice trot of the Apprentice's Den happily. The brown flecked tom quickly swiped his tongue across his lips, clearing them of the strong scent of trout that would be embarrassing to speak through, and happily purred, "Good morning, Mintpaw! Had a nice sleep?"

Lilypad slunk back into camp, remembering the night when she blushed to see Johnie. She slid over to a bush where she had stashed one fat squirrel for her to eat when she got hungry.

Glade stretched out on a rock her smoky fur soaking up the sun as her amber hues peered around camp as she yawned tirely watching as Lilypad went over to a bush and retrieved some fresh kill she purred mildly with amusement before drifting to Ottersplash and Mintpaw they seemed to having a great morning. She rolled onto her back leaving her belly open for rays of sunshine to hit her slim belly. Her life seemed pretty average for a warrior no mate, no kits just responsibility and jobs it was an everyday process to keep this extended family going.

Lilypad slunk back through the tunnel without any orders. She didn't need people asking her questions.

Cinderpaw was half asleep in the aprentice den trying to fend off morning as long as possible until she saw Mintpaw sneak out of the den right in front of her. The new movement in her half open eyes roused her and she sat up and yawned. She always woke up rather quickly and decided that she might as well start the day off on a good note and pondered a plan in her mind. Once she figured out what she was going to do she skirted through the exit of the den and stayed in the shadows of the camp wall around until she was as close as she could be to Mintpaw, her dark grey fur camoflauging her in the darkness of morning. Only her deep blue eyes stood out, if you were looking for them. So she stuck up behind Mintpaw and pounced onto him pushing him to the ground. "That's for waking me up" she said sarcastically with a smirk on her face, for her it was all in good fun and she hoped that Mintpaw saw it that way too

Mintpaw nodded and purred warmly in response to Ottersplash's greeting and question. Crunching the bones loudly, he finished off the water-vole in a few swift bites. As he looked around the sunlit camp, Mintpaw was taken by complete surprise when out of nowhere he was knocked to the ground. Surprise, confusion, anger, and fear rippled across his mind in an uncompromisable flurry of thoughts. Blinking dizzily, he saw Cinderpaw smirking down at him, and understanding fell into place in his mind. Relaxing immediately, he smiled up at the apprentice and flipped her over. Now being the one on top and pinning the she-cat to the ground, Mintpaw purred a goodmorning before letting her get back up to her paws.

Cinderpaw giggled as she felt Mintpaw tense under her when she landed on him. She may be an apprentice but she definatly still acted like a kit. With Mintpaw quickly on top of her instead she laughed a little more, " What? Did you think I was Venomclan or something?" then smiled up at him as he got off of her. She quickly rolled over and stood up and sat down licking her fur back down.

Mintpaw grinned at Cinderpaw and playfully batted her tail as she fixed her ruffled fur. He liked playing with her. She was one of the few apprentices that wasn't completely training-serious and still remembered what it was like to play and have fun like they kits. He'd never went through that stage as a kitten, so Mintpaw loved that Cinderpaw and some of the others still behaved in such a way that he got to experience what he had missed out on. Purring warmly, he nipped the tip of her tail and held it lightly in his jaws, issuing a challenge to Cinderpaw.

"Hey!" Cinderpaw turned around quickly and carefully caught Mintpaw's ear between her sharp teeth but made sure as to not cut him in anyway. She rarely saw Montpaw ac like this and just now, even on their little joking fight, hadn't heard one word from his mouth. She had always wondered what he and other quiet cats like him thought about because she always talked and arguing with the other apprentices, to the point that she could physically fight with them.

Mintpaw grinned, her tail still held in his mouth. He let it go, purring warmly, and nudged Cinderpaw's side playfully with his head. There was something about this morning that made him feel happy and playful, quite unlike his usual self. This, however, the young apprentice payed no mind. He was enjoying the sun-warmed morning and play-fighting, directly interacting with another apprentice instead of sitting off to the side and watching one or a few talk.

Gladeshadow narrowed her pools at the prey pile, her pools gazing over it scrutinizing what she should grab from it. The fish smelled good she sighed deeply closing her amber for a few moments she wished she was like the apprentices being able to mingle and chat with cats that they grew up with. She padded out grabbing a fish pausing to peer around for someone to share with. Saphirekit yawned stretching her long body as her pointed ears listened out, her verde color pools watched the world with intrest and jealousy for those that could do what she couldn't. OOC: ...This is definatly Riverclan, Fire...
Cinderpaw didn't mind that Mintpaw still had her tail, she was pretty confident that this quite apprentice would never acctually hurt her. Even the thought of Mintpaw hurt something had her laugh inside. After he hit her sides she kind of stood up on her hind legs and pushed him with her front paws.
