Lagoonshine was busy grooming her pelt ouside the warriors' den entrance, getting ready for battle training with Cinderpaw. Once she finished making her soft pelt tidy, the mentor walked to the apprentices' den.
"Ready for training?" called out the blue-eyed she-cat.

Cinderpaw sat up uickly at the sight and sound of her mentor. "yes! what are we doing today?" she meowed excitedly to Lagoonshine. She was ready for anything that could be thrown at her. Cinderpaw was so excited to just be an apprentice that she was nearly shaking with energy.

"Hunting," Lagoonshine started, as she headed towards the camp's entrance. The blue she-cat continued with confidence in her first apprentice, "Obviously, our staple food is fish. Fish are easy to catch, as long as you don't create a shadow over the water. Then they'll see you. Just flatten yourself along the side of the river and wait until a fish comes close, then..." the blue she-cat warrior made a playful, swiping motion towards her apprentice. "Swipe it out of the water and catch it! You kill fishes by biting anywhere. They're slippery too, so it'll take a while for you to get used to hunting."

"Cool"Cinderpaw raced out of then camp behind her mentor. she figured they must be going to the river and her hunch was right when Lagoonshine mentioned fish. She took all of Lagoonshine's instructions and tried to remember. "That was amazing" She said when her mentor caught a fish with such ease. So Cinderpaw crouched by the river and watched the fish and then uickly put her paw into the water and only grazed a fish with her paw.
