Waking up after a bad dream.....

Eclipsestrike was asleep in his den. While he slept he had a bad dream. His dream was that his love, Dawnpaw was dead. She lay on the ground, Venomstar stood above her, grinning. Venomstar's teeth were stained with her blood. rnraged, Eclipsestrike sprang, kiling him with a deadly bite to his neck. Then, for god measure, he cracked his spine. But, suddenly in his jaws was Dawnpaw, he had killed her! Filled with despair and self-loathing he screeched and climbed up a tree. Crying he threw himself from the tree towards a`sharp rock. Just before he hit the ground his eyes flew open.


"NOOOO!!! DAWNPAW!!!!!!!' he screeched as his eyes flew open. Eclipsestrike jumped to his feet and scrambled to the apprentice den to see f she was alright. Dawnpaw... my love... I hope that dream wasn't real.. he thought.

Nutbringer woke up abruptly when the tom's frantic screech pierced through the early morning like a hawk's talon. Blinking the drunken dregs of sleep from his sunflower-yellow eyes, he turned to his Clanmate moodily. "Keep it down, won'tcha?" The pale brown tabby tom muttered sleepily, his clear eyes beginning to droop heavily. He added subconsciously, "I'm gonna have nightmares of screaming cats now." He curled back into his nest, which was overflowiing with wildflowers rather than moss. It brought him sweeter dreams.
The brightness of the pale golden light broke through the overhanging branches of the oak trees ahead. They danced across the camp grounds and stroked into Nutbringer's tired eyes. Soon, he was too bothered by the glowing rays to fall back into his sleep. "Oh, nevermind!" He muttered, in a mixture of amusement and annoyance. The SkyClan tom instantly leaped out from his bedding, shaking off wilting petals off from his short pelt. "Want me to get you some prey, Eclipsestrike? Dawnpaw?" He was good-natured, completely oblivious to the fact that was was breaking up a cozy little snuggle.

Dawnpaw glared at the tom. Then shelaughed. Imagining the prank she wanted to pull on Skystar made her unable to keep a straight face. "Thanks Nutbringer.... that would be nice." she purred to the SkyClan tom.

She lay her head down on Eclipsestrike'spaws and thought about the prank again. It will be perfect. Flawless. Skystar won't have a clue. she thought happily. Dawnpaw had decided to put honey in Skystar's nest and coat some burrs in honey and put them in her nest as well. They would stick to Skystar's pelt and would take a rinse in water to come of. Wait.. I could coat the burrs in mouseblle first! Then honey... that way it would be even worse.. no. I'll coat her nest in honey, then mousebile, then the mousebile and honey coated burrs!! she thought. She dtood up and stretched. "Listen here Eclipsestrike! I have the perfect plan!" she told her mate and she sat down waiting for Nutbringer to come back with their breakfast.
