Ruby hadn't seen her father or mother around for sometime, so she didn't know what do to. It was boring to sit around at camp all day! She decided to wander from home, though she had no intentions to return. Her paws found her nearing the ShadowClan border. What would she find here? Perhaps a nice toad or bird to play with and snack on? She padded deeper into the Clan's territory. She found the marshes muddy and shadowy, but Ruby enjoyed it. The BoneClan kit seemed built for this environment.
Ruby'd been nursed to hate other Clans, especially SkyClanners, but she didn't feel this way truly. Her father was cruel and taught her to fight and inflict pain, but she hated fighting. Instead she had a spirit for peace. The kit wanted nothing more than love and serenity in her Clan. She pursued knowledge. When her siblings had been hurt or feeling down, the she-kit had cared for them. It was her nature, and to herself, a personal duty.
So today she wanted to be alone. Ruby curled up under a bush, near the marshy water, watching dragonflies nip at the murky liquid. The scene was beautiful, and it made her heartbreak to think of going back to her father.

Jewel had been following her kit. She watched Ruby grow sad as she watched dragonfiles dance over murky water. She hated other clans but she loved her kits dearly so she spoke kindly. "Hello Ruby. Is something wrong dear? i would hope not."
Then, Ruby's sister, Sapphire sprang from the bushes, making the dragonflies scatter. "Hi Ruby! Wanna play?" she asked her sister. Suddenly, the Siamese kit grew silent. before her was a black she-cat with peircing jade green eyes.
"What are you BoneClan scum doing in SHADOWCLAN territory?" Nightpaw asked the kit.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: dddddd; border: #6B6B6B solid 8px; width: 420px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;]It's hard to be humble, when you're struttin' around.
Johnnie had been watching the mother and child play. It was a lovely sight, and it made Johnnie himself ache for his own kits. He had only met a few of them, just once. Maybe he'd return to VenomClan's camp and try to reason with Benet-Ramsey, their mother and his old mate. Then, shattering his thoughts like brittle ice, a small black she-cat appeared out from the shadows. Possibly a newer apprentice. "This land belongs to all cats." Johnnie snarled at the apprentice, not caring for their tender age or undeveloped claws. "Nobody gave you rights. You say StarClan gave you these rights, but they don't seem to be trying to chase us off. It is a sign that they don't exist." |
