With the thickening of darkness over the forest and slow dying of the fluorescent blue light, a she-cat with reddish fur woke from her lodgement of cold, bare stone. She picked her graceful way through the rocky cascade of VenomClan camp, taking care to not tread over stone that hissed faintly. From her position, the whole forest could be seen, the wind-whipped grassy moors stretching to the far lake that flowed through RiverClan. It will be all of ours soon. her lithe body twisted as she thought of this. It had been a cold day, now a colder night. Distantly winking stars throbbed above, but the reddish she-cat did not care for them. Her ancestors did not glint above in the heavens, they represented the murky bottem of trenches and the oily sheen of scarlet death berries. Pitch black darkness continued to pour out and the silver moon was a fraction of a claw, sloping high above the trees. The thickfurred she-cat, indifferently named Benet, screwed up her dark eyes and fell herself to the forst-covered rock she had been previously balancing on. From around her was the sound of smooth skin scraping against rock, and the low near inaudible sound of flicking tongues. Snakes - the Clan's main food source. Benet wished to present Venomstar with a snake. To please him. He was the most powerful cat in the forest, altough he only owned a tiny circle of rocks hidden deep in the forest. Others said he wasn't a true leader, VenomClan not a true Clan. Benet's concentration was shattered when a shadow flickered in the corners of her blue-black eyes. The shadow didn't belong to her.

Two deadly green eyes stared at the reddish she-cat from behind a bus. What is she doing?... he growled in his head. His massive paws gently lead the way out of the bush, followed by a body that rippled with muscles under a coat of concrete-gray fur. "Benet," Venomstar growled, "What are you doing? Did I tell you that you could go hunt?" he stared at her with the fury of a tiger, and the pride of a lion; if he had just stayed in that rancid old house with his family, he'd be nothing, but now Venomstar had control, he actually was something more than a dirty old rogue. He let off a gentle sigh and looked around at the forest, "Though... I suppose, the more prey there is in VenomClan, the less there will be for those other useless clans..." he meowed.

Benet-Ramsey turned to face Venomstar, but didn't dare look him straight in the eye. His toxic-green gaze paralyzed her with fear, but she kept quiet for a moment. "Just wanted to get you a snake. I'm sorry. I know you decide everything." She replied honestly, before turning back to the view of the forest. Maybe if Benet made an earthquake happen, a shaking, destroying earthquake that would cause all the enemy Clan cats die, Venomstar would finally approve of Benet. Maybe if she snuck out and assassined all the other founding leaders... "I think they're suspecting something." she said distantly, still in her thoughts. "I haven't caught the scent of a ThunderClanner or a ShadowClanner in ages. And our territories are connected to each others. They're avoiding us, I think."

"They're suspecting something of us, eh?" Vemonstar paused, "They should be. Those fools should fear VenomClan. They should fear me!" the large grey cat grinned evilly at the surrounding forest, as though he were talking to an audience of thousands. That was all he wanted. A forest full of followers and the ability to bring fear to the strongest of warriors just by being there. He wanted- no, he needed power, Venomstar's whole life right now revolved around gaining power, "They are blind! Right in front of those mousebrains is the greatest force that will ever come to this pathetic forest! I must show them who is in control here, but how?"

Although Benet kept her berry-black gaze on Venomstar's forehead (careful to not look in his scarily green eyes), she could tell the contours of the toms face were darkened with thought and calculation. "Yes. You are Venomstar and we are VenomClan. The poison, the paralyzing juice of death, is far more powerful than wind or thunder or river or shadow or sky." she agreed faintly, although her tone was close to growling. Her spine shivered, not from the cold night or from fear of looking into Venomstar's deep eyes. From determination, ambition and greed. She echoed, "Control... control only comes from force. From taking it. From violence and blood, blood pooling and lapping at our paws, blood frightening those who dare oppose against us." Then, the answer seemed almost as though the powerful cats of the Dark Forest itself had presented it to her. "Blood!" she cried softly, almost in exclaimation. Venomstar would be certainly be proud of her now! "Blood, blood spilled... from murder! From assassination!"
(I think I might have to change Benet's personality, I like roleplaying her as a mindless puppet than a sardonic genius.)

Kubrick chuckled softly from the darkness, his torqouise eyes gleaming. From the blackness came his deep voice, "Kill all the leaders? That's impossible. A suicide mission."

"I think it's a great idea," Venomstar smiled, "but we'll have to train all our warriors to be stealthy, vicious, and fast." Venomstar paused to think, staring at his unsheathed claws for more ideas as he flexed them into the soil, "We'll choose our four best warriors to go. If they fail their task, then they'll be the ones getting killed."

From her lodgement of stone, Violet woke to the sound of cat's conversation. She waited for her bi-coloured eyes to adjust to the pitch blackness before tilting her head up. Just a few rocks above were three of her Clanmates. Their eyes were wide with greed and their sharpened claws scraped against the gritty stone as though they imagined spilling impure enemy blood over the fallows of land. "We'll choose our four best warriors to go. If they fail their task, then they'll be the ones getting killed." Violet picked herself up, ignoring the stinking share of snake flesh she had forgotten to eat last night. Her dark fur sent a monochrome ripple into the darkness. The quiet warrior stayed silent, tilting her head further more towards the sky. Ahead, thick rolling storm clouds parted and after a moment of cracking, let out a gunshot of thunder. A scar of forked lightening shocked the edges of the black horizon. "Train me," Violet's voice was a whisper, but still somehow audible over the crackling and the roaring of thunder. She emerged fully from her tiny cave-in of rock. "It is our time. VenomClan's time. I won't fail. I won't."

"Violet..." Venomstar sang, smiling as the sleek she-cat emerged from the shadows, "You would make for a perfect assassin. I'll let you kill off Riverstar, you seem like the kind of cat who would blend in perfectly with their territory..." of course, he shouldn't rush when it came to plots to take over the forest, this young she-cat would have to go through about a moon or two of training, "Would anyone else like to volunteer?"

For a full moment, Benet nervously mulled over the idea of being murdered if the mission was failed. But this was for VenomClan. The dark she-cat would have done anything for her Clan, for higher rank. A gigantic whip crack echoed through the dry air. Wondering why pelting raindrops did not accompany thunder was the least to worry about right now. "Me." Benet answered simply and calmly, although she started to shake with excitement. Two or so moons of training? Yes, let it be a hundred moons to make Venomstar proud. "Me." She repeated faintly to herself. The night laid inky black overhead, with only the silver moon sloped above and the forks of silver lightning illuminating the dark. She then moved her blue-black gaze to Kubrick. Would he volunteer?

Violet brightened, the fur on her inky black chest fluffed out with excitement. It wasn't the murder that she was excited about - it was the thought of training her delicate paws and feeling the fear of other Clan cats as they laid their eyes on the sleek she-cat. It was about showing the enemy cats, showing herself... The she-cat, her fur shining dim blue in the silver light of bolts of lightning, dipped her head in appreciation and honor. Whether she would be able to complete this mission was a completely different thought.

"No." Kubrick growled firmly, his turquoise eyes glaring back at Benet whose blue-black gaze was fixed on. He continued in a low tone, "This is, what I repeat, a suicide mission."

"When will training start?" asked Violet, wanting to keep the conversation without hostility. "I'm eager to start soon."
