It was a lovely, warm spring day out - which was why Lambspring did not want to be exploring the borders with Flickerpaw. Flickerpaw, however, was the snowy she-cat's best friend, so Lambspring had to oblige no matter what.

Flickerpaw galloped about, her long orange tabby tail whipping out from behind her. The energetic apprentice stuck her nose in every flower nearby, whether they were sweetly fragranted or tastelessly plain. "This is great! I'm having so much fun! Fun fun fun!" the WindClan apprentice screamed, continueing her self game of sniff-and-skip.

Lambspring grumbled, "I would much rather be taking a good long nap. This is a waste of all the good patches of sunshine I could be sleeping in."
There was a rustle from behind the two she-cats, and Flickerpaw alertly turned to it...
