Starstorm trotted along in search of herbs. She needed some yarrow, cat mint and poppy seeds for the store. But she also wanted to vist Moonstone. She wanted to figure out what to do about VenomClan and if it would involve her clan. She was on her way when out of nowhere she scented an intruder, there was a rustle of bracken and she spun around to face the intruder, hissing.

"Hi!" came from a reddish she-cat with the soft fragrance of grass and rabbit swirling around her. Her green eyes were bright with friendliness, "I'm Poppystem, the medicine cat of... um... SkyClan!" It was obvious that Poppystem was slow-witted, however very friendly. She didn't seem to notice Starstorm's hissing, "How about you? I'm looking for... um... cat barley stem. You know, the stuff to soothe throats!"
Honey was used to soothe throats, every kit knew this. Poppystem was chosen to be medicine cat by complete mistake, a sign read wrong by Skystar.

Twistedfoot, the ThunderClan medicine cat, padded into the clearing with his jaws clamped over fresh watermint. As he reached closer to the cats, he heard the SkyClan medicine cat stupidly speak, " I'm looking for... um... cat barley stem!"
The black-and-white tom shook his head and sighed a little. SkyClan's medicine cat was always so useless! Once he reached the group of cats, the tom with the crippled right foot dropped his herbs onto the dusty ground and dipped his head in greeting. "How are you all today?" he mewed politely, once he brought his head back up.

Starstorm relaxed," Great," she replied to twistedfoot. " you know poppystem honey is used to soothe throats, ther's a piece of honey comb spmewhere closer to sky clan you should try there!"

Lilypad trotted into the clearing.
"Hello Twistedfoot. I hope these stup- sweet cats aren't getting in your way. Also, Poppystem, why not just tell Skystar your a complete idi- you are completely hopeless. I bet he'd understand."
Lilypad struggled not to say her thoughts.

"Alright!" Poppystem purred happily, before adding, "What's honey, again? Its hard being a medicine cat! And where is SkyClan again?" confusedly, Poppystem twirled around, and found herself looking directly at WindClan's territory. A winding grassy moor, studded by the occasional shrub. "Where did all the trees go?" she suddenly cried in distress, "SkyClan has trees! We have lots of grass like this, but we had trees too!" The reddish she-cat whimpered, continuing to vain attempt to make sense of everything.
"Also, Poppystem, why not just tell Skystar your a complete idi- you are completely hopeless."
Poppystem was relieved, and turned to the source of this voice. She recognized the cat as Lily-something. Immune to sarcasm, Poppystem replied (once again in confusion), "I have hope. All cats do."
(Poppystem isn't mentally retarded, she just acts this way for attention.)

"By completing the medicine cat apprentice ceremony," Poppystem continued stupidly. Then she added, stupidity growing by the second, "You know, I'm starting you think you are being silly!"
