Ferretkit crawled out of the nursery. It was dawn. The day was fresh, alive with new scents. The tom-kit stumbled into the clearing sleepily.
This was his chance! The sky was still shadowy. No one was awake besides the guards. Ferretkit awakened from his half-slumber. Excitement rushed through his body, causing his heart to pound hard. He would escape. He would be free! There would be no queens or warriors to hold him back.
He stalked past the guards sneakily. Keeping low to the ground, he made no noise. Ferretkit took extra care to keep from stomping. StarClan must be on his side, for there was no wind to carry his scent. The forest was calm, no sound tainting its protective aurora.
Snickering quietly, Ferretkit hit the gorge. He looked around. Following the stale scent of the warrior's paths, he climbed into the forest above.
The kit scrambled up the rocks. The work was exhausting. Many times he slipped, almost falling. The climb was slow and hazardous, yet thrilling in its own way. Ferretkit giggled in glee and thrill. He was almost at the top!
Ferretkit extended his paws and caught the thick scrub at the edge of the stone wall. His back paws gripped a large crack. Using all his strength, he pulled his body up to the forest above. Suddenly, he slipped. His claws could not gain hold on the stone. The tom-kit fell, spinning madly. He looked below. He could see the rock floor, waiting for him hungrily. For a short moment, time stopped. His heart seemed to explode in his chest. Tears trickled down his cheeks. He screamed. StarClan! Don't take me! Ferretkit pleaded silently.
The kit hit the ground.

Rosestem had walked back towards camp. "Can't kits just NOT get into trouble?" she thought aloud. "Wait, what's that on the ground?" she mewed, "It's a kit!!" She rushed over, to discover it was Ferretkit. He looked like he was badly hurt. Rosestem carefully picked the kit up by the scruff and walked back to camp.

Cricketkit burst from the nursery after Ferretkit. Nobody would kill her record for most escapes! As Cricketkit charged down the path of her clanmate, she spotted Rosestem. She hid quickly and didn't dare peek out until she was sure she was gone. As Cricketkit approached the rocks where Ferretkit fell, and thinking she could find Ferretkit up ontop of the rocks, laughing at her. Cricketkit stomped over to the wall and stretched her long legs across the hot stone.
As she pulled herself into a small cave, she heard terrible hissing. Cricketkit squeaked as a slithering shape slid forward. As the creature lunged, it's fangs sliding out as a wet liquid ran down, she closed her eyes to the death that was about to come.

Stones dug into his skin. Pebbles and dust stabbed his eyes. His leg was twisted under him. The pain was horrible. He screamed. ''My back! I can't move! Help!'' Paralysis...
Ferretkit felt himself rise. Something had caught his scruff. How could he feel, yet couldn't hear or see? He could hardly think. Am I dying? His body seemed to be shutting off slowly. No! I will survive, he thought determinedly.
The pain seemed far off now. Though it was a bad sign, Ferretkit was grateful... He was in a deep ocean of blackness. All the tom-kit could do was try to fight against the current. He would not die. For his family. For his Clan.

Cricketkit opened her eyes one more time before seeing Rosestem dissapear. A tear fell down Cricketkit's furry cheek as she felt a warm sensation spread up her neck. She groggily cried in pain and watched as a starry figure approached.
The figure breathed to the young kit,
"Young kit, I am here to help. This is like my death, venom from a snake killed me. Death from Snakeclaw as he joined VenomClan. Young one, you must extract the evil from your heart. It is the only way."
Cricketkit cried as she suddenly felt sorry for all the bad things she did. She was selfish even though she loved her clan very much. Cricketkit's last thoughts before everything turned black and the snake let go, was,
I will become the greatest cat that ever lived....

(I never noticed this thread! I've deleted the unnecessary OCC. I want this thread to develop furthermore.) Nettleclaw shouldered his way out of the Warrior's Den, groaning as a wet overhanging tendril slapped him across his muzzle. Out of spite, the broad-shouldered tom gripped the antagonistic vine into his jaws, and yanked it down. The curling tendril laid on the mossy surface of the warm den, defeated and quite unable to smack any poor cat no longer. Across from the Warrior's Den was the well-secured Medicine cat's Den. Ferritkit was squealing from inside, in pain. Irritation rippled across Nettleclaw for his young nephew. Why can't Gazelleleap keep a close eye on her kits? But, as the uncle and role model, the chocolate brown tom strode through the heart of the camp, picked up a mouse suitable for a kit, and poked into the Medicine Cat's den. "You okay, Rosestem? Need any help?" The ThunderClan warrior muttered through a mouthful of prey.
Gazelleleap, the sandy brown queen of ThunderClan, was immediately woken by the terrible squeak of her kit - Ferretkit. The she-cat's moss-green eyes widened in terror as she saw her little daughter fall to the mossy ground of the nursery, the terrible hissing of an unseen snake fading away. The queen stood up instantly and sprinted to Cricketkit, sniffing and turning the kit with a paw with desperation. Cricketkit had already left camp, barely a moon ago! What would the Clan think of her? A terrible mother, that's what!

Rosestem barely heard Nettleclaw. "Sure, help me drag him to my den." she mewed softly to the tom. Worry flooded through her. " Don't worry Ferretkit. You'll be just fine." she told the tom-kit. Then, she grabbed some marigold and poppy seed and went to work.

Cricketkit woke with a pain in her head. Her body felt hurt and her chest throbbed as the poisen slowly slid to the heart. She crawled to the corner of the small cave, unable to climb down. She had wanted to be great and powerful, now she was going to die of a snake. She lapped at a small pool of water that had formed over night and had washed her muzzle lazily. She started to drift into unconsciousness again.

Rosesem assesed Ferretkit. He was in rough shape.. but, would easily survive. Her thought wandered to Gazelleleap. "Gazzelleleap?" she called for the queen as she entered the nursery. "Are any of your other kits missing? Cricketkit perhaps?" she asked the queen, thinking of Cricketkit's gift of getting into trouble.

Cricketkit was wondering if she should go down. She decided she would be strong and go back. She sleepily climbed down. er body ached with numbness as more of the poisen entered her heart. She made it to the ground. She trembled as she stumbled to the forest she salw a mile infront of her. Her paws finaly met grass as she fell face first into unconsciousness again.

Rosestem waited for the queen's respone impatiently. She decided just to look around. The sun shone through the nuresury wall and she saw no sign of Cricketkit. Bursting out of the nuresury she sprinted with the speed of WindClan, desperately searching for the kit's scent.
"Oh no!! Cricketkit? Are you ok?" the she-cat mewed when she saw Cricketkit, lying on some grass, deathly still her chest rising ever so slightly. She looks so fragile.. should I move her? Rosestem wondered. I will, myself. the she-cat decided. Gingerly, the cat picked up Cricketkit by the scruff, and ran back to camp.

Rosestem placed cricketkit down in her den. She looked over the herbs in her store.
For poison use Nettle seeds or Snake root. Poppy seeds to ease the pain... Chamomile to calm her down, and Marilgold to keep out infection. she thought, as she grabbed the hebs. Rosestem put a single poppy seed in Cricketkit's mouth and stroked her throat to make her swallow. She repeated the step with the chamomile, and nettle seeeds. Then, she ground up the marigold, and applied it to the snake bite. Glancing at Cricketkit, she saw that she was taking deeper breaths and seemed to be in no pain. " Thank StarClan she's alright! I'll have to keep a close eye on this kit." she purred happily.

Cricketkit's chest felt better, her heart clearing up. She suddenly felt a sharp pain in her eye. There was a thron that had been stuck in her head fur and it had fallen out. Cricketkit gingerly tried to pull the eye open, afraid that a snake might sneek up on her. She heard the sizzle of the sun on rocks, thinking it was a snake, Cricketkit leaped up and struggled through the entrance. She cried as the thorn fell out and her eye began to swell. She rolled in the dirt for a while, only to fugure out the hissing was the sizzling of rocks.
