It was sunhigh, and there was a little chore that Riverstar had been meaning to do. Cinderpaw and Hawkpaw need their apprentice ceremonies. he thought to himself, as he dragged in a fish from his hunt. The silvery tom deposited the freshkill into the Freshkill pile, before leaping ontop of the Tall Rock.
"May all cats gather under the Tall Rock!" he yowled loudly, with strong confidence. VenomClan won't dare bother us now, with new fighters.
Ottersplash trotted happily to the Tall Rock and sat directly under the shade of the boulder.

Hawkpaw raced across the clearing, nearly running over Mintpaw. "Sorry!" he called over his shoulder. He skidded to a halt at the base of Tall Rock, his fur bristling with excitement. Lets just hope Riverstar's doing what i think he's doing
Mintpaw was carrying herbs back to the medicine cat's den, only to be trampled by Hawkpaw. Stupid furball! What right does he have to run through the camp like that? Even i wasn't that crazy! She stood back up, dropped the herbs at the entrance of the medicine cat's den, where Rainlegs was shifting through herbs. I don't think she heard Riverstar. "Hey Rainlegs?" she called.

Rainlegs was busily sorting herbs when she heard Mintpaw call. She stretched, and stood up, heading towards the entrance of her den. "Yeah, Mintpaw?" she asked.

Cinderkit ran over to sit beneath Tall Rock next to Hawkkit. Clearly he too hoped that this was their apprentice ceremony. She was a little more watchful when she darted across camp though, dodging the other cats in the camp. She looked over at Hawkkit with wide eyes. Who would be their mentors? She thought, nervous now of who she could get.

Lagoonshine walked into the gathering, her dark blue eyes shining with excitement. The she-cat knew what was going to happen, and she was so proud for her soon-to-be apprentice.

"Cinderkit and Hawkkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Cinderpaw and Hawkpaw. I ask StarClan to watch over you and guide you until you find in your paws the strength and courage of a warrior." Riverstar started, before turning to Lagoonshine and Swanfeather.
"Lagoonshine, you are ready to take on an apprentice. You had received excellent training, and you have shown yourself to be fierce and brave. You will be the mentor of Cinderpaw, and I expect you to pass on all you know to Cinderpaw" He took a deep breath, before starting again. "Swanfeather, you are ready to take on an apprentice. You had received excellent training, and you have shown yourself to be fierce and brave. You will be the mentor of Hawkpaw, and I expect you to pass on all you know to Hawkpaw."

Cinderkit... uh Cinderpaw looked around and found Lagoonshine also at the bottom of the highstones, she must have known that she was going to be Cinderpaw's mentor. She went over to her mentor and touched noses with her, proud that she was finally an apprentice.

Lagoonshine grinned and touched noses with her first and newest apprentice. "We can start training tomorrow morning!" she said with glowing pride.

Hawkpaw glanced around the clearing, spotted Swanfeather, and ran down to touch noses with her. He could barely contain his excitement, but managed to keep himself looking calm.

"Hawkpaw! Cinderpaw! Hawkpaw! Cinderpaw!" Ottersplash repeated loudly, his fur fluffing up with pride for RiverClan. "Congradulations to them!"

Swanfeather happily returned Hawkpaw's warm touch, knowing fully well that the apprentice's excitement was barely contained in his paws. "When do you want to start training?" asked the white she-cat, her amber eyes blinked with affection.

Lilypad snuck into the crowd, growling rudely.
"Oh, congradulations swanfeather. I hope you get to teach your apprentice how to get killed by a monster. That'd be such a show!"
Lilypad was a hot-headed jealousy symptomed cat. She never liked when warriors that were younger than her got apprentices before her. She stomped away out of camp, scraping the ground with her claws.

Lagoonshine hissed, her blue fur puffing out a little, "That isn't nice! Swanfeather deserved her new apprentice! You're a jealous bully!" the she-cat snapped rudely back, although her paws were sheathed.
